<p>The method involves connecting network components (12) to a network, and assigning a datagram (16) in telegrams (14, 18) of each of the network components. One of the telegrams is received by each of the network components. The datagram assigned to the corresponding network component is removed from the telegram. The other telegram is transmitted to one of the network components. An updated datagram inserted into the telegram so that the latter telegram is formed. The network components are arranged in a ring structure. An independent claim is also included for an automation system.</p> |
