PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that can prevent leakage of lubricant while maintaining low slide resistance of a fixing belt, and has high durability, and an image forming apparatus including the fixing device.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes a fixing belt 21, a heater, a pressure roller 22 that applies pressure on an outer peripheral side of the fixing belt 21, a nip forming member 24 that faces the pressure roller 22 on an inner peripheral side of the fixing belt 21 to form a nip part N, and a sliding member 25 that is arranged between the fixing belt 21 and the nip forming member 24 and is applied with lubricant to smoothly slide the fixing belt 21. The sliding member 25 includes a pressure surface part 41 that receives application of pressure from the pressure roller 22, and non-pressure surface parts 42 and 43 that do not receive application of pressure from the pressure roller 22; and the pressure surface part 41 has a first inclined groove 52 formed inclined with respect to a sliding direction of the fixing belt 21, and the non-pressure surface parts 42 and 43 respectively include second inclined grooves 54 and 56 formed inclined with respect to a direction different from that of the first inclined groove 52. |
