PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection apparatus which stably executes processing to detect positions of two points, an image processing apparatus, and a position detection method.SOLUTION: A position detection apparatus 1 detects a position of an object in contact with a surface of a touch panel unit 22, at one or two points. The position detection apparatus 1 stores results of detecting one or two points on a storage unit 23, and performs processing of detecting two points on the assumption that the two points are falsely detected as one point when only one point is detected, the one point being located within a predetermined range from the center position of two points which have been detected in advance. When a user uses two fingers for two-point operation, the center position of the two points changes little, so that false detection can be determined. The position detection apparatus 1 stably executes processing for two-point operation such as pinching in an image displayed on a display unit 21. |
