PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trace compression device and a trace compression program that can compress trace data of a nest loop part. SOLUTION: The trace compression device includes: trace memory write control means of sequentially wiring trace data to a trace memory; difference detection means of determining whether a difference value between first and second instruction addresses of successive trace data is minus; loop candidate holding means of holding one or more second instruction addresses whose difference values are minus; instruction address comparison means of comparing the second instruction addresses whose difference values are minus with a loop candidate head instruction address, and detecting a loop when they match each other or holding the second instruction addresses in the loop candidate holding means when they do not mach each other; and trace data comparison means of comparing trace data after the loop-detected second instruction address with trace data after the loop candidate head instruction address in the trace memory. The trace memory write control means does not write the trace data to the trace memory when the trace data matches, and writes loop information data to the trace memory when the trace data does not match.
