The present invention relates to a method for recognizing a driver, using biometric information, and for providing changes in driving conditions. The present invention is disclosed to recognize a driver by producing characteristics from biometric information on a driver through a biometric information sensor installed in the steering wheel of a vehicle; to produce a physical condition of the driver from the biometric information equipped in the steering wheel during driving; to provide information on changes in biological signals in real time during driving to provide information on changes in biological signals according to drowsiness of a driver, a driving habit, and a driving situation; and to detect a steering angle of the steering wheel by a gyro sensor installed in the steering wheel, thereby analyzing driving habits of the driver and helping the driver to safely drive. The method of the present invention comprises the following steps of: recognizing a driver by comparing characteristics of the stored biological signals with biological signals obtained by biometric information sensors including an ECG sensor, a skin electric resistance sensor, a skin temperature sensor, a body fat sensor, and an arterial elasticity sensor; producing basic health information from the biological signals obtained by each sensor and providing the information to the driver; producing information on changes in the biological signals obtained by each sensor according to the mileage and the travel time of the vehicle and providing the information to the driver; and generating a guide to improve the physical condition of the driver and a guide on driving habits by obtaining and analyzing the changes in the biological signals for a predetermined time period.
