The present invention relates to a foot effort adjusting device and a method thereof and, more specifically, to a foot effort adjusting device and a method thereof, can easily adjust the foot effort in consideration of the location of a pedal pressed by a driver and the operation status of a vehicle. The foot effort adjusting device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a pedal arm which is rotatably installed in the vehicle; a pedal pad connected to one end of the pedal arm; an elastic member connected to one end of the pedal pad; and a foot effort adjusting unit which adjusts the elastic force of the elastic member to adjust the level of the foot effort generated on the pedal pad.
