<p>The device (1) has a detection sensor (3) connected to an electronic processing circuit. A block (5) for foot is connected to a base (2), and activates the sensor to determine response time of a competitor at start of a competition. The block for the foot is connected to an H-shaped structure (4) including two strips (14, 24). Ends of the strips are connected to an immobile portion (7) of the device, while a central bar (6) connecting the strips is pushed along direction via bending of the strips to activate the sensor when force is applied against the block by the foot of the competitor. An independent claim is also included for a method for activating a starting device.</p> |
