PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel compositions for phase change ink compositions and security printing technologies as robust printing in order to enable customers to realize excellent image quality on all substrates.SOLUTION: A phase change ink composition suitable for ink jet printing including printing on coated paper substrates comprises an amorphous component, a crystalline material, a photochromic material and optionally, a colorant. The novel phase change ink formulation allows an ink to change color when exposed to UV light, reversibly and multiple times, realizing an ink suitable for use in security applications. |
