<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image recognition at high speed and with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An image recognition apparatus comprises: a registration partial image set extraction unit 104 for extracting, from every registration image 103 previously registered, a registration partial image set 105 of a partial image size 102 included in the image 103; a new partial image set extraction unit 107 for extracting, from an input new image 106, a new partial image set 108 of a predetermined size included in the image 106; a partial image attribute discriminating unit 109 for discriminating an attribute of new partial image on the basis of a rule formed by dividing the registration partial image set 105; and a partial image decision result collecting unit 111 for deriving a final recognition result 112 of a new image by collecting decision results 110 by the partial image attribute discriminating unit 109 when the new partial images as respective elements of the new partial image set 108 are input.</p> |
