<p>The cable comprises three or more conductors 1 and respective insulator layers 2. The conductors and the insulators extend helically along a longitudinal axis of the cable and the insulator layers are axially external to the conductors. A barrier layer 5 and a jacket layer 6 may also be present. The armouring layers consist of oppositely-helically-wound layers of a plurality of wires 7, 8. The first insulator layer comprises a first fluoropolymer. Many polymer and copolymer compositions are described and claimed. A method of manufacturing said cable, and a method for transmitting electricity downhole using the cable are both described.</p> |
