PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor which maximizes labyrinth seal effect thereby preventing inflow of external foreign objects and leakage of a lubrication fluid, and to provide a hard disk drive including the spindle motor.SOLUTION: The spindle motor includes: a shaft 110 including a fixing groove 111 at a lower part; a lower thrust member 120 including a fixing part 121 inserted into the fixing groove 111, a disk part 123 which extends from the fixing part 121 to the radial outer side, and an extension part 125 which extends from the disk part 123 in an axial direction; a base member which is coupled to the extension part 125; a rotation member which forms a bearing space with the shaft 110 and is provided so as to rotate relative to the shaft 110; a first seal part 400 which is provided between an upper surface of the extension part 125 and the rotation member; and a second seal member 500 which is provided between an inner peripheral surface of the base member and an outer peripheral surface of the rotation member.
