PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which off-gas hydrogen of a fuel cell can be combusted by a little catalyst.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 1 comprises: a power generation amount detection section 13 for detecting a power generation amount of a fuel cell 11; an off-gas hydrogen quantity detection section 14 which is connected in the middle of an off-gas hydrogen return line L4, for detecting the quantity of off-gas hydrogen circulating in the off-gas hydrogen return line L4; and a control section 17 electrically connected to the power generation amount detection section 13, a hydrogen supply section 15, a valve 16 and the off-gas hydrogen quantity detection section 14. The control section 17 controls the quantity of hydrogen H1 to be supplied from the hydrogen supply section 15 to the fuel cell 11, with respect to the hydrogen supply section 15, in such a manner that off-gas hydrogen equal to or less than a predetermined quantity is supplied from the fuel cell 11 to a catalyst 12, on the basis of detection values of the power generation amount detection section 13 and the off-has hydrogen quantity detection section 14. |
