The present invention relates to a method for enlarging and displaying content and an electronic device thereof. The method for enlarging and displaying content of an electronic device comprises the steps of: enlarging and displaying content based on a first region among a plurality of regions constituting the content; detecting a touch operation moving at a threshold speed or more; controlling an enlarge ratio of the content based on a second region corresponding to a movement direction of the touch among abutting regions of the first region; and displaying the second region of the enlarge ratio-controlled content. Accordingly, a user may enlarge and display an abutting region of a currently displayed region with one touch operation without repeatedly performing a fine touch in order to view a desired region.
