WASHING MACHINE USING IMAGE-DETECTION AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a washing machine using image recognition and a driving method thereof. The washing machine includes an image sensor obtaining corresponding images by capturing the laundry and a care label of the laundry; and a microprocessor extracting washing information from the obtained images and washing the laundry in a washing mode of pre-stored washing information matching the extracted washing information or washing the laundry in an updated new washing mode corresponding to the extracted washing information. Thus, a user does not need to make a setting proper for a product manually and an improper setting is prevented. Therefore, damage to the product can be prevented.
