The present invention refers to an access network element (15) for a cellular wireless access network, a terminal (MS1, MS2, MS3, MS4, MS5) for a cellular wireless access network (13) and corresponding methods. In order to use radio transmission resources efficiently in cases where data (D) is communicated both by device-to-device communication as well as by conventional cellular communication, it is suggested that the network element (15) be operable for instructing (53) a first radio terminal (MS1) to transmit the data (D) over a portion of the uplink transmission resources (17) to the access network (13); receiving (55) the data (D) from the first terminal (MS1) over the portion of the uplink transmission resources (17); and instructing (51) at least one further radio terminal (MS2, MS3, MS4) to receive the data (D) transmitted by the first terminal (MS1) over the portion of the uplink transmission resources (17) directly via the uplink transmission resources (17). |
