The inspecting device has a product chute built-in sensor for detecting the defective tablets (8) during passage through a product chute (4). A stationary product guide section (10) and a movable product guide portion (12) of the product chute are mounted separately for commonly defining the product guide surface (6). A passive piezoelectric bending transducer (24) of the sensor is connected to the movable product guide portion, and is connected with a measuring device (26) which measures the voltage pulse produced at the bending of passive piezoelectric bending transducer.
