<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core removal device for removing a core from a cast in which a hollow part having an opening end is formed, the core removal device facilitating removal of the core remaining in a deep portion of the hollow part.SOLUTION: A core removal device 10 includes: a support base 12 provided on a base 11; a guide pipe 33 supported by the support base in an advanceable and retractable manner so as to enter the hollow part 6 of a cylinder head 1 supported by the support base; a hollow flexible shaft 35 which is supported in the guide pipe in a freely rotatable and freely advanceable and retractable manner and the tip of which projects from the tip of the guide pipe; driving devices 26, 27, 28 and 51 for rotating the flexible shaft around the axis and advancing-retracting the flexible shaft with respect to the guide pipe; a head 37 joined to the tip of the flexible shaft and having a jetting hole 41a; and a flexible fluid supply pipe 61 extended in the flexible shaft and communicating the head with an air compressor 58.</p> |
