PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser light source device capable of enhancing the stability of outgoing beam from a laser light source device using a wavelength conversion element and a small laser projector using the laser light source device.SOLUTION: A laser light source device comprises: a laser element 10; a wavelength conversion element 20 which converts the wavelength of a laser light from the laser element 10; a control circuit 50 which controls the drive of the laser element 10; a detection element 40 which detects outgoing beam from the wavelength conversion element 20. The control circuit 50 includes an oscillation changeover circuit 51 which switches an oscillation state of the laser element 10, while the oscillation changeover circuit 51 switches the laser element 10 to pulse oscillation and continuous oscillation. The detection element 40 detects a conversion wave of the laser light when the laser element 10 is oscillated in pulsed mode, and detects a fundamental wave of the laser light when the laser element 10 is oscillated in continuous mode. The control circuit 50, based on detection information of the fundamental wave and the conversion wave from the detection element 40, controls the drive of the laser element 10. |
