A content-responsive kiosk and a method for driving the same are disclosed. The content-responsive kiosk comprises: a supporter; a screen module attached to the top of the supporter; a content receiving module for receiving content from a cloud server; a content determination module for determining whether the content is a horizontal type or a vertical type by analyzing a tag added to the received content; a screen drive control module for rotating the screen module horizontally and keeping the screen module horizontal, when the content is the horizontal type, and rotating the screen module vertically and keeping the screen module vertical, when the content is the vertical type, according to the determination results; and a content playback module for playing the received content on the screen module. According to the content-responsive kiosk and the method for driving the same as described above, a screen optimized for a type of content can be provided by rotating the screen module of the kiosk horizontally and keeping the screen module horizontal or rotating the screen module of the kiosk vertically and keeping the screen module vertical, according to the characteristics of content, thereby enabling a user to enjoy content or perform a touch operation more conveniently, overcoming the shortcomings of the kiosk which is made up of conventional fixed forms of hardware, and enabling the user to play and use content regardless of the type of content. |
