In a saddle-type electric vehicle like an electric two-wheeled vehicle 1, a shaft center 23a of a motor shaft 23 of a traveling motor 20 in a power plant 40 installed between a front wheel 2 and a rear wheel 3 is installed lower than a shaft center 34a of a rearward output shaft 34, and the whole power plant 40 is installed as low as possible in a state where a front part is at a lower position. Batteries 50 are installed diagonally forward from above the power plant 40, a gravity center Gb of the batteries and a gravity center Gp of the power plant 40 are arranged to correspond to a roll axis line having the front part which is high. Thus, while the height of the gravity centers Gp, Gb approximate the roll axis line of the vehicle body, a composite gravity center Gt of the both is properly set, and balance of handling and motion performance can be improved. |
