A skin treatment formulation comprises a moisturizing base cream, comprising water, liquid paraffin and a topically acceptable emulsifier. The base cream is mixed with a clear topically acceptable base lubricant fluid having a viscosity of at least 1.4 Pa.sec at 20°C, the lubricant fluid preferably comprising glycerine and/or petroleum jelly (petrolatum), in an amount of up to 20 per cent by weight of the formulation. The formulation further comprises lavender oil in an amount not exceeding 0.1 per cent by weight, and chamomile oil in an amount not exceeding 0.1 per cent by weight. The formulation may be used to treat dermographia, or may be used for cosmetic purposes. |
