<p>The invention relates to an assembly (10; 50) for protecting an item against theft, comprising: a first part (12) including a point (16) that is intended to pass through the item or the packaging containing the item, and a second part (30; 52) which is provided in a first zone with an opening (32b; 54b) for receiving the point and which comprises locking means for preventing the point from being extracted following insertion. The assembly is characterised in that the second part comprises at least one second zone into which the point can be inserted in a plurality of possible positions and the two parts are assembled together and held in the assembled position in one of two possible assembly modes, namely: a first protection mode in which the point of the first part is inserted into the opening of the second part and the locking means are activated so that they cannot be separated by a user without a tool, and a second temporary assembly mode in which the point is inserted into the at least one second zone and is held in place in a temporary assembly position such that the two parts can be separated by a user without a tool.</p> |
