PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element in which an increase in driving voltage due to accumulation of light emission time is small, and provide a light-emitting element in which an increase in resistance due to an increase in film thickness is small.SOLUTION: A light-emitting element includes a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer between a first electrode and a second electrode that are provided to face each other. The first layer, the second layer, and the third layer are stacked in order so that the second layer is sandwiched between the other layers. The first layer is in contact with the first electrode and the third layer is in contact with the second electrode. The first layer is a layer for generating holes, and the second layer is a layer for generating electrons. The third layer is a layer containing a light-emitting material. The second layer and the third layer are bonded to each other so as to inject electrons generated in the second layer to the third layer when a voltage is applied so that the second electrode has a higher potential than the first electrode. |
