<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shorts type absorbent article, including three-dimensional gathers reducing a gap in a crotch region to prevent leakage from the sides. <P>SOLUTION: A diaper 1A of the invention includes: an abdomen side sheet 2A; a back sheet 2B; an absorbent body 3 fixed extending between the sheets 2A, 2B; and a pair of three-dimensional gathers. The three-dimensional gathers respectively include a three-dimensional gather-forming sheet and a plurality of elastic members put in the elongated state. The three-dimensional gather-forming sheet is extended outward from the side edge 3b of the absorbent body 3 in the direction of an arrow X, with one end 40a thereof in the direction of an arrow Y fixed to the abdomen side sheet 2A and with the other end 40b thereof fixed to the back sheet 2B, and raised by contraction of the elastic members. The three-dimensional gathers respectively include a first elastic member having the largest stretchability at a position outwardly away from the side edge 3b of the absorbent body 3 in the X-direction and another elastic member at a position further outwardly away from the first elastic member in the X-direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
