The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for processing numbers and a recording medium. The apparatus for processing numbers according to the present invention comprises: a communication unit for receiving status information of a product part through a communication means provided in the product; a number generating unit for generating a part status number consisting of a product identification number, a product user identification number, a part identification number of the product, a status identification number of the part, and one or more special symbols; a storage unit for storing, on a storage medium, the part status number generated by the number generating unit; an interface unit for receiving, from a communication means of a user who is using the product, a part status confirmation request number consisting of a product identification number, a product user identification number, a part identification number of the product, and one or more special symbols; an extracting unit for confirming and extracting, from the storage medium, a part status number corresponding to the part status confirmation request number received through the interface unit; and a processing unit for processing transmission of the part status number extracted by the extracting unit or a number consisting of a product identification number, a part identification number of the product, a status identification number of the part, and one or more special symbols, in a part status number, to the communication means of the user who is using the product.
