The present invention relates to a system and a method for managing the energy efficiency design index. A system for managing the energy efficiency design index according to the present invention comprises: a control unit for calculating and managing the energy efficiency design index based on an energy efficiency design index management program; a communication unit for communicating with a terminal through a communication network according to control of the control unit; a storage unit for storing and providing the energy efficiency design index management program to the control unit and storing calculated energy efficiency design index calculated according to control of the control unit; an input unit for inputting command and data applied by manual operation to the control unit; and a display unit for displaying the entire screen for managing the system according to control of the control unit. According to the present invention, the energy efficiency design index can be rapidly and accurately obtained by calculating, storing and managing sharing energy efficiency design indices for ships and utilizing the stored corresponding energy efficiency design indices.
