In a tractor-drawn drum-tedder, the drum-tines are rotated so as to move over the ground in the same direction as the machine travels, so that the crop is thrown rearwardly over the drum and is distributed by a guide-member at the rear of the machine, the tedder being towed so that the drum is oblique to the line of travel and the guide-member being composed of a series of juxtaposed plates 95-98 which are adjustable separately about a horizontal axis parallel to the drum-axis whereby the plate 95 at one end of the tedder deflects the crop at a different angle to the horizontal to the plate 98 at the other end. The plates terminate in tubes 99-102 slidable around a tubular member forming the rear edge of a baffle 48 extending over the drum, each plate being adjustable by an arm 105 co-operating with a fixed sector-plate 103 secured to the baffle. |
