<p>A SYSTEM CONTROL THAT MONITORS THE CONDITION OF TWO INDEPENDENT AIR-CONDITIONERS (A/COND 1, A/COND 2), ALTERNATELY USES ONE OF THE AIR CONDITIONERS (A/COND 1, A/COND 2) AS A PRIMARY UNIT AND THE OTHER AS A BACKUP UNIT AT EQUAL INTERVALS WITH A TIME SWITCHING NETWORK (TS, TSR, TSR1, TSR2), SWITCHES TO THE BACKUP AIR-CONDITIONER IN THE EVENT THE PRIMARY AIR-CONDITIONER BREAKS DOWN. THE BACK UP AIR-CONDITIONER WILL REMAIN AS THE SOLE ACTIVE UNIT UNTIL THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN RESET AFTER SERVICING. WHEN AN OVER-TEMPERATURE IS DETECTED, THE SYSTEM REPEATINGLY SWITCHES BETWEEN THE USE OF THE FIRST AND SECOND AIR-CONDITIONERS (A/COND 1, A/COND 2) IN A SHORTER INTERVAL UNTIL THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE FALLS TO THE PRESET VALUE. THE AIR-CONDITIONER SELECTED TO OPERATE BY THE END OF THAT INTERVAL WILL REMAIN AS THE SOLE ACTIVE UNIT UNTIL THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN RESET AFTER SERVICING.</p> |
