PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image with suppressed density unevenness while reducing the time required for image formation processing.SOLUTION: In an ink-jet printer, an ejection port in which ejection failure arises when a density correction pattern is formed on a substrate using a plurality of ejection ports of a head 21 is stored into a storage part 53 as a specific ejection port. In addition, correction value information 532 relating to the density correction for the plurality of ejection ports to be corrected which are all of the ejection ports except for the specific ejection port of the plurality of ejection ports is also stored into the storage part 53. Further, image forming processing is performed by the plurality of ejection ports to be corrected using the correction value information without using the specific ejection port. In the image forming process, no use of the specific ejection port is continued after the intermediate process of eliminating the ejection failure in the specific ejection port. Thus, correction value information in eliminating the ejection failure in the specific ejection port is not required to be obtained again and an image with suppressed density unevenness is formed while reducing the time required for image formation processing. |
