The present invention concerns a semi-solid transport medium for isolation and identification of Helicobacter pylori, which comprises, for one litre of medium: 6.5 to 7.2 g granulated agar, 9.5 to 10.5 g enzymatic digest of casein, 9 to 10 g enzymatic digest of animal tissue, 1.8 to 2.2 g yeast extract, 0.8 to 1.2 g glucose, 5.3 to 5.7 g sodium chloride, as well as 9 to 10.2 ml enrichment, the rest being made up of distilled water, since a pH of between 6.8 and 7.2 must be ensured. |
