The present invention relates to a solid cored wire for refining having excellent product quality and new configuration because it is solidly charged by powder cores. The present invention provides a solid cored wire (300) for refining and a manufacturing method thereof. The solid cored wire comprises: a metallic outer frame (100) having a longitudinal internal space (102); and power cores (200) charged into the internal space (102) of the metallic outer frame (100). The metallic outer frame (100) is formed by rolling a metal strip (109) and overlapping both lateral ends thereof, thereby having an overlapped part (104) formed by overlapping both ends of the metal strip. |
