This wireless communication system is provided with a user apparatus, base stations, and a communication control apparatus. The communication control apparatus generates selection information to be used at the time when the user apparatus selects a base station with which the user apparatus should retain a synchronized state, and the communication control apparatus notifies the user apparatus of the selection information. On the basis of the selection information, the user apparatus selects a plurality of base stations with which the user apparatus should maintain the synchronized state. The user apparatus reports, to the communication control apparatus, identifiers of the base stations thus selected, and reception levels of the radio waves transmitted from the base stations corresponding to the identifiers. The user apparatus maintains the synchronized state with each of the base stations thus selected. |
