PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the risk of damage to a motor due to entry of dust.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes a removable cyclone separator. The separator includes: a cyclone chamber; a dirt collection chamber, one end of which is opened; an outlet duct from the cyclone chamber in which the open end of the outlet duct is disposed so as to be connected to a motor intake duct of the cleaner and the outlet duct and the dirt collection chamber share a common wall section for separating the open end of the dirt collection chamber from the open end of the outlet duct; an openable cover provided so as to close the open end of the dirt collection chamber and access the dirt collection chamber to empty it; a cover seal member forming an airtight seal between the cover and the common wall section when the cover is positioned at a closing position; and an outlet duct seal member forming an airtight seal between the outlet duct and the motor intake duct when the outlet duct is connected to the motor intake duct. |
