An optical device has a first waveguide which is extended towards one direction. A second waveguide is located in one side of the first waveguide. The second waveguide has a first conductive semiconductor layer, a second conductive semiconductor layer and an updoped semiconductor layer which is located in between the first and the second conductive semiconductor layers, wherein the refractive index of the undoped semiconductor layer is greater than the refractive index of the first and the second conductive semiconductor layers. A first electrode and a second electrode are connected to the first conductive semiconductor layer and the second conductive semiconductor layer of the second waveguide, respectively. |
