PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant for liquid crystal dropping method which is excellent in coating properties, provides high adhesiveness between a seal and a substrate, and is suitable for manufacturing a liquid crystal display element having less color shade in liquid crystal display owing to hardly causing liquid crystal contamination, and to provide a vertical conduction material and a liquid crystal display element.SOLUTION: A sealant for liquid crystal dropping method includes a (meth)acrylate compound having a structure represented by the following general formula (1) hardening resin having an epoxy group, and malonic acid dihydrazide.
