METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CLEARING MEDIA ACCESS CONTROL FORWARDING TABLE ITEMS

<p>A method and device for clearing MAC forwarding table items are provided. The method comprises the steps: a first RB detects that a local terminal access network topology has changed; the first RB sends a first message to a second RB so that the second RB clears the corresponding forwarding table items after receiving the first message, the second RB referring to an RB that is configured with at least a VLAN the same as the first RB. Through embodiments of the present invention, MAC forwarding items of the whole network can be cleared in time after the local terminal access network topology has changed, and thus forwarding errors are avoided.</p>
