PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing a steering wheel from rotating against the intention of a driver when an impact force is applied to a vehicle.SOLUTION: An electric power steering device includes an electric motor 110 for applying a steering assisting force to a steering wheel arranged in a vehicle, a PWM signal generating part 60 for controlling drive of the electric motor 110, and a motor driving part 32. The PWM signal generating part 60 and the motor driving part 32 short-circuits terminals of the electric motor 110 when acquiring a signal showing that an in-vehicle air bag has been actuated. |
