METHOD FOR ASSESSING PAIN SENSITIVITY IN DENTAL PLEXALGIA AS FACTOR OF DISADAPTATION TO REMOVABLE DENTURE

A method for assessing the pain sensitivity in dental plexalgia as factor of disadaptation to the removable denture comprises the analysis of case history with details of the complaints presented. Esthesiometry is also performed. The esthesiometer is inserted into the oral cavity until the contact of the probe with the surface of mucosa. The pressure is increased by turning the esthesiometer. The pressure corresponding to the perception of pain is recorded on the scale of device.
