The apparatus (8) has a housing (9) for receiving an end (2A) of a needle (2) along an introduction axis (X9) such that an identification module (3) is placed approximately along the axis. The antenna extends approximately over entire length of the housing and forms a longitudinal wall along the introduction axis of the housing, where the antenna has a shape of a solenoid. A recognizing unit recognizes a type of the chip used in the module. A reading unit reads an identification number written in the chip of the module. An independent claim is also included for a method for writing information in an identification chip.
