PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metallocene compounds capable of being more easily synthesizable and capable of producing propylene polymers with higher stereoregularity and higher melting point, than conventional metallocene compounds, and metallocene catalysts obtained by the metallocene compounds, and a process for polymerization of olefin using the same.SOLUTION: Metallocene compounds are shown by formula [I]: QKLMX. [In the formula, M represents a titanium atom, a zirconium atom and a hafnium atom; K and L represent a fused ring coordinating with M and each independently represent a fused ring of a cyclopentadienyl ring and a five-membered ring, a fused ring of a cyclopentadienyl ring and a six-membered ring and a fused ring of a cyclopentadienyl ring and a seven-membered ring; Q represents a cross-linking group cross-linking K and L; X's each independently represent a ligand to form a &sgr; bond with M; and either one of the substituents of positions 2 of K and L necessarily represents an optionally substituted 3-furyl group, an optionally substituted 3-thienyl group or an optionally substituted 3-furfuryl group]. |
