PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance object apparatus capable of performing the maintenance of the apparatus with the use of a uniformed method without connecting the apparatus to an outside.SOLUTION: A maintenance object apparatus includes: maintenance information acquisition means 25 for acquiring maintenance information to be referred to when the maintenance of the apparatus is performed; image code conversion means 26 for converting the maintenance information into a first image code; display means 215 for displaying the first image code; reading means 212 for optically reading a second image code displayed on another terminal; a setting value acquisition means 28 for decoding the second image code read by the reading means or acquired by image code acquisition means and converting the code into a maintenance information setting value; and maintenance information updating means 27 for updating the maintenance information set in the own apparatus through the use of a setting value.
