PURPOSE: A high-strength steel sheet and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain superior platability applicable to a hot-dip galvanized iron sheet or a hot-dip galvannealed steel sheet and to secure target strength and formability only through control of a hot rolling process. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a high-strength steel sheet comprises the steps of: hot-rolling slab at a finish rolling temperature of 750-950°C and cooling the hot-rolled slab to a martensite temperature range, wherein the slab comprises carbon of 0.12-0.18 weight%, silicon of 0.02-0.60weight%, manganese of 1.00-1.80weight%, phosphorous of 0.05 weight% or less, sulfur of 0.01 weight% or less, aluminum of 0.01-0.06 weight%, nitrogen of 0.01 weight%, one or more among boron of 0.001-0.005 weight%, molybdenum of 0.03-0.05 weight%, and niobium of 0.02-0.08 weight%, and iron and inevitable impurities of the remaining amount. |
