PURPOSE: A digital signage system for reacting to a disaster and interacting with multi content and an operating method thereof are provided to offer disaster information and deal with the disaster by automatically distributing the situational information in both directions in case of a disaster. CONSTITUTION: A digital signage system for reacting to a disaster and interacting with multi content includes a memory unit (10), a multi content processing unit (20), a communication unit (30), a location information acquirement unit (40), and a control unit (80). The memory unit stores advertisement content and emergency and disaster reaction content. The multi content processing unit accesses content in the memory unit and displays the content on a display. The communication unit is installed at a storage box for an emergency call or communication with a control center. The control unit manages and controls the memory unit, the multi content processing unit, the communication unit, and the location information acquirement unit.
