PURPOSE: A semiconductor device prevents malfunction by not performing a pre-charge operation in the state that a word line is selected. CONSTITUTION: A data keeping unit (11) comprises multiple memory cells and multiple bit lines. A pre-charge unit (12) is electrically connected to the data keeping unit and comprises a pre-charge potential line, a pre-charge signal line, and multiple switches. A delay unit (13) comprises multiple logic circuits composed of multiple transistors. The switches control the electrical connection between the pre-charge potential line and the bit lines according to the output of a pre-charge signal from the delay unit.
