[Class 12 (i)] A cup and cone bearing structure is shown with reference to the treadle foot-plate 3 of a sewing-machine or like equipment having opposed conical bearing seats or openings 8 in both vertical flanges 6 to provide bearings for the male conical-shaped portion 10 of axially adjustable collars 9 fixed to a stationary shaft. Spot-welded at 17 to the split cylindrical portion 11 of each collar 9 is a split clamp-member 14 which secures the assembly by ears 13 and a nut and bolt 16, 15. In modifications, the collar and clamp may have interfitting indentations, the clamp being on the outside of the collar, or they may alternatively comprise a single pressing. |
