[Problem] To enable photoacoustic measurement, wherein high-energy light is transmitted, and it is possible to eliminate deviations in the energy levels of light that passes through a plurality of optical fibers. [Solution] An photoacoustic wave detection probe (11) comprising: a light-guide part (44) that guides measurement light (L) so as to irradiate the object to be examined (M) with measurement light (L), and an acoustic oscillator (20) which detects a photoacoustic wave (U) generated within an object to be examined (M) as a result of irradiation with measurement light (L). The light-guide part (44) comprises: a homogenizer (40) which generates a flat-top energy profile for measurement light incident from the upstream side of the optical system; a condensing member (41) that condenses measurement light (L) that has passed through the homogenizer (40); and a fiber bundle (42) which encompasses a plurality of optic fibers (42a), and which is positioned in such a manner that measurement light (L) that has passed through the condensing member (41) enters from the incident edge (E1). |
