PURPOSE: A device and a method for a laptop track pad using a mobile phone display are provided to perform the communication of input devices via a visible light communication (VLC) link by utilizing LCD/LED players having optical detectors to touch screen displays of the input devices respectively, thereby operating the devices as receivers or transmitters for two-way communication. CONSTITUTION: An optical source/sensor (107) receives and transmits VLC signals. A transceiver (110) receives incoming radio frequency (RF) signals from an antenna (105) and performs the down-conversion of the incoming RF signals. A main processor (140) is connected to a keypad (150) and a touch screen display (155). The touch screen display is composed of an LCD screen or an LED screen, displays images, and senses the touches of fingers or pens via an optical sensor.
