The device (1) has a hydraulic circuit comprising a pump and a controllable throttle element. The pump is movably coupled with a steering shaft (3) and conveying fluid in the hydraulic circuit upon rotation of the steering shaft. A variable flow resistance is produced by the throttle element. The pump comprises pistons (4) working on two concentrically arranged hydraulic chambers (8, 9). The chambers are connected to the hydraulic circuit over the throttle element. The piston and the chambers provided in housings (7, 21, 22). The steering shaft is supported in the housings.
