KNIFE GATE VALVE

PURPOSE: A knife gate valve is provided to prevent the abrasion of the inside of a valve body or the inner circumference of a valve body passage by installing anti-abrasion rings. CONSTITUTION: A knife gate valve comprises a valve body (10), a knife gate (30), a first anti-abrasion ring (40), a second anti-abrasion ring (50), and a sealing unit (60). The valve body is installed between pipes to make a passage (11) through which fluid moves, and comprises a moving groove (12) formed on the inner circumference (11a) of the passage. In order to open and close the passage, the knife gate reciprocates the moving groove in a direction vertical to the passage. The first and second anti-abrasion rings are inserted in both sides of the inner circumference of the passage, and are coupled to the valve body. The first and second anti-abrasion rings prevent the abrasion of the inner circumference of the passage and the knife gate due to the fluid. The sealing unit is positioned in the moving groove. When the knife gate closes the passage, the sealing unit is attached to one side of the knife gate and supports the knife gate in a direction opposite to a moving direction of the fluid.
