摘要 <p>The method involves supplying a profile element i.e. rod (17), formed from a post-formable and self repairing composite material obtained by a mixture of epoxy resin, fatty acids, catalyst and additive to form hard resin. The element is heated until temperature is chosen to be upper/equal to vitreous transition temperature and less than breaking down temperature of the material so as to authorize plastic deformation. The element is deformed until obtaining a spring (5) i.e. helical spring, with desired shape. The spring is cooled until temperature is less than the transition temperature to solidify the shape. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an installation for manufacturing a helical spring made of composite material (2) a helical spring made of composite material (3) a method for manufacturing a helical spring.</p>
